From the first category to the last dance
An awards ceremony has two halves, and the DJ has to get both right. During the show, music cues have to land on time with the show caller: walk-ups for winners, stings between categories and a warm background through dinner. After the final award, the room needs to become a party.
DJ SR has played galas and awards nights since 2007, including the UK Marketing Awards four years running, the British Journalism Awards, the Real IT Awards and the annual Meetings Show gala for the UK events industry.
Regular venues include The Landmark London, the Grand Connaught Rooms, ExCeL London and Stationers’ Hall.

The UK Marketing Awards: four years running
Few things say more about a DJ than being asked back. DJ SR has been the resident DJ for the UK Marketing Awards gala since 2022, covering walk-up music through the ceremony and the after-party in The Landmark’s ballroom, and is booked again for 2026.

Drinks reception

Dinner

The ceremony

The after-party
