A private party is personal. The music has to fit the guest of honour, their friends and their story, and the night has to feel effortless for the host. DJ SR has spent 28 years doing exactly that, from 40th and 50th birthdays to anniversaries and private dinners that end on the dancefloor.
Every set is planned around you: the eras you love, the songs that mean something, and the ones to avoid. On the night he reads the room, builds the energy at the right moment and keeps every generation dancing.
Private clients include restaurants and venues such as Hispania in the City, as well as homes, members’ clubs and private dining rooms across London.

Planning
A short call covers your guests, the timings, the music you love and anything to avoid. If there are speeches, a surprise entrance or a cake moment, the music is planned around them.
Full PA and party lighting can be supplied for homes, marquees and restaurants, or DJ SR can work with your venue’s in-house system.
Background music while guests arrive and eat, then a set that builds once the room is ready to dance, with requests handled along the way.

Yes. Milestone birthdays are a big part of DJ SR’s private work, from intimate dinners that turn into a dance to full parties for a hundred or more guests.
Yes. Sets are built around the guest of honour and their friends, whether that means 70s soul and disco, 80s pop, 90s R&B and hip hop or UK garage, with current hits mixed in for younger guests. An all-vinyl set is also available.
Yes. DJ SR plays private dining rooms, restaurants, members’ clubs, homes and marquees across London, and can supply full sound and party lighting or use the venue’s own system.
Yes. Must-plays and do-not-plays are agreed in advance, and requests on the night are welcome when they suit the room.
Yes. DJ SR plays weddings too, from the drinks reception through to the last dance. Get in touch with your date and venue to check availability.
